If we haven't met yet, my name is Hasyer Umar.
That's me (left) with Edmund Loh, my partner and mentor, and we are creator of the Client Conversion Code system.
I'm not a guru who was handed everything. I'm a working father who tasted this game young, got pulled away by real life, and clawed my way back, one converting page, one honest offer at a time.
Here's the truth about how I got here.
I made my first money on the internet back around 2006. The web was still new, and most people around me didn't believe you could earn from it. I had no money for ads. I built a website from scratch (HTML, CSS, a bit of JavaScript) because I loved building pages. Then I drove traffic the only way I knew: commenting in forums, one post at a time, selling a "make money online" ebook as an affiliate.
One day a cheque showed up in my mailbox. About US$148. I banked it in, watched the money land in my account, and felt something I've never forgotten, the thrill of building something with my own hands and watching it turn into real money.
When I told my mother, she thought it was a scam. That's how new all of this was.
My first ever website that made a sale, back when I was 23. The styling is long dead, and that is the point: this is real, and it is old. I have been at this a long time.
Life took me on a long detour after that, years I don't regret, but years away from this. I grew up getting bullied hard in school, so at sixteen I took up a martial art, learned discipline the hard way, and ended up representing my country as a national athlete (SEA Games, 2007).
I built a cat-niche dropshipping store that hit around $2,000 in profit before life pulled me off it. I built a heritage channel on TikTok that went viral. My best video hit over 200,000 views before perfectionism and a dead-end monetization path killed it.
Cats For Hugs, the little cat store I built and ran out of Singapore. Different niche, same playbook: build a simple offer, put it online, make sales.
These were real customers, real orders, paid through Stripe and PayPal, back in 2017 and 2018.
